A fashion shoot with a twist. I can´t imagine that there is nothing but a photographers luck and creativeness having the group of American sailors as part of this 1960s fashion shoot. One image in a series with the admiring sailors taking part. Well, they are not doing much more then just hanging around admiring the view, but that´s enough right? I bet in a respectful way though, discretely getting their eyes full of the Swedish fashion model passing them. She walks pass them with confidence and with a smile on her face doing her job. The Americans only have a short time ashore and they will probably do their best to enjoy the free time off the warship. The uniforms, the style and the youth of the men adds to the photographers original idea of having his model posing the 1960s summer fashion on the docks.

About the picture. The image is one of many from the same event, and the negative originals are carefully scanned and preserved. The finding of these kind of images in the depth of our archive is one of the best parts of my job. Giving new life to lost and forgotten images for future generations to enjoy.
