Trends and fashion in home decorating could start anywhere, and sweep across the world, spread by magazines and TV. 1958 was the first year that television was introduced to Swedish households. Only one channel in black and white, and a fee programs on weekdays. But the new TV medium changed the lifestyle of  the everyday people.
