Marlon Brando wannabe

”I’m really a nice guy mam” www.classicpicture.se

It’s just a nice 50s guy hanging in the street doing nothing much then trying to look cool. The Marlon Brando made popular leather jacket and the hairstyle are important to have looking right. So many fifties movies influenced the 50s generation of teenagers.
The nice old lady soon to pass him, looks as if she is judging him by the looks. Surely she will walk by and nothing happens but a nice Good morning greeting. Deep inside her sceptical appearance, perhaps she is a bit envious of his youth and makes her think of hers.
This editor is thinking of his, and the look of the 1970s. That however, is another story....

About the picture. Photographer Kristoffersson loved capturing street scenes with people, and this 1950s image is a great example of history created, and could easily be an illustration about the lifestyle of this decade.
