Volvo P1800 60 years anniversary. 1961-2021.

When looking back at the history of the iconic swedish sportscar Volvo P1800, one single person had great influence in it's success; actor Roger Moore who drove it when acting as Simon Templar in the tv-series The Saint. 

Volvo P1800 60 years anniversary. A sports car manufactured by Volvo Cars with production start 1961 and ending 1973. Styling was by swedish designer Pelle Pettersson and Volvo sold 47492 P1800 cars.

The model P1800 is still somewhat of a dream car for many and there is a great interest in it. 

The P1800 became widely known when driven by then future James Bond actor Roger Moore as Simon Templar in the television series The Saint. Pictured Sir Roger Moore, 1927-2017, during the filming of the tv-series The Saint, posing with a Volvo P1800. The Saint ran from 1962 for six seasons and 118 episodes.
